Happy SUMMER SOLSTICE and descending time! Welcome to Quiet Quail Book’s Quarterly Subscription box. Winter and Spring’s quarters’ boxes were a massive hit and successful batch of books. For our third mystery box, we reflect that Summer solstice culturally was a time to descend mountains and be in the present, now moment. This solstice my mind has been centered on what is relevant to our immediate present and how are we grappling with the current times. These two books I have chosen remind me of each other for how they challenge the immediate now and call into question what we so often take for granted as commonplace. This is the first time we will include a poetry book and new holographic stickers!
